| This shows a detail of one of the curb extensions: on the north and south ends of the curb extensions, there are gaps intentionally left in the curbs to allow water to enter and exit the curb extension area. Runoff water flows in from the north side and then exits the curb extension at the south end after being filtered. This results in cleaner water going into Salmon Bay and Puget Sound. |  |
