The 14th Ave NW Steering Committee is a small group of community residents and business people that provide stewardship and help materialize the goals of the project by organizing community activities. It is envisioned that the members of this committee will rotate over time to encourage involvement from a broad population along the 14th Ave NW corridor.

Residents
The 14th Ave NW Visioning Project helped to form and participate in a very successful 3-block "night out" event on August 2, 2005. We knocked on doors, talked to local businesses, posted flyers and stopped people in the street. Local businesses donated over $200 in prizes. It was at this event that we first started to widely solicit ideas about improvements and get names of those neighbors that wanted to participate. All those participating in the prize give away were encouraged to fill out information forms and present ideas for improvements for 14th Ave NW. We had a tremendous response from the community: over 40 people signed up to get involved in some way. Since that "night out" event, our community has banded together and we have over 90 residents and business people that have expressed a desire to actively participate in the improvement process.
